I’m always looking for ways to incorporate a seasonal look without having to change the main aspects of my decor. Just adding little touches seems to do the trick. I will change what is in the frames to match the seasonal colours and theme and I’ll change the flowers in the vases or add extra colours to match.

This is a little glass rabbit I found at Home Sense for a few dollars. The pitcher for the flowers was from Ikea and the faux flowers are a mix from Michael’s and Dollarama.

My husband recently bought me a Cricut (yay!) and I have been testing it out and using my frames to hold the final product. Most of my craft paper I get from Michael’s when they have a sale so this probably cost me $5 to fill the frames.

I am always looking for a good deal on faux flowers. Usually near the end of the season, Michael’s will have their flower bunches for 60% off and I definitely take advantage! The pitcher here is just a store bought juice pitcher, but the little leaf my birdie is sitting on was pottery made by my husband when his grade 6 class had a guest come in and teach them how to use a kiln! It truly is a one of a kind piece.

Come summer time I will just switch out the Easter things with some kind of summer theme and voila! a fresh new mantle. The window and vases will stay. The frames and candles will too and if you really want to save money you can leave the flowers as is and do a summer mantle with those colours.
